The Truth is Bitter

THE TRUTH IS BITTER

Indian plurality and multiplicity are still alive because the majority of Indians are Hindus. And it is also an indubitable fact that it is some what secular, just because of the above mentioned truth. Can any foreigner imagine a land of 80% indigenous religious people accepting Prime Minister, President and Defence Minister, which holds the highest authorities of power from people of 3%, 16% and 2% population respectively? It is possible only in India, because of the age old tolerance of Hindus to anything and everything. No other country had ever been divided in the name of religion in the whole history of the world other than India. The main reason for partition was that in a land of 85% Hindus the Muslims can not practice their religion properly! Are our Muslim brothers who did not opt for migration or returned from PAK with humiliation, not practicing their faith in this holy land? It is a paradox to note that even after partition; India is the second largest Muslim country in the world after Indonesia, surpassing the total population of both PAK and Bangladesh put together!! The other religious people of India must accept that they are Indians first and last then only anything else. They can copy the good example of our Sikh brothers on this matter. This sacred land is their mother land too because they were born here and 98% of their ancestors were from the poor & oppressed, down trodden classes of Hindu heritage. We need a reunited India leaving all the silly differences of religion, regionalism, language, ethnicity etc, etc. We have been segregated as Keralites, Bengalis, Gujratis, Maratis etc; and it is hard to find an Indian in India for whom one has to look into western countries like US or Canada!! One Indian must feel comfortable with another fellow Indian any where in the globe, particularly in all the states of India whatever be his religion, region of origin, language etc. After 60years of Independence everyone is well aware of his religion, caste and language and the national security and integrity have become the sole responsibility of our defence personnel’s only. The minorities of India must open their eyes and look around the world and see where ever they are in majority, are in fact allowing this much freedom and concessions to others what they are enjoying in India. A Muslim convicted of theft in Saudi Arabia can walk away with his hands chopped off but the same Muslim can live peacefully even after committing bigger crimes in India. The minorities in India are busy with the underground works of either converting poor Hindus or cleansing the very same people who have allowed them to grow and propagate. They don’t know any other means of showing their gratitude.
Any Indian who does not have loyalty to its people, culture and constitution is a traitor. If the other religious people of our country can not integrate with its culture and heritage, let them pack up and go where they can feel at home.

Life is a Spiritual Pilgrimage

LIFE IS A SPIRITUAL PILGRIMAGE
Out of parent’s love and as a matter of their responsibility only they take care of and dedicate their life for the children. They don’t expect anything in return. What they expect is the love of their kids. Our circumstances might force us to lead a life far away them, but we can be with them vicariously. One might be possible to provide them all material comforts with money but not real love. Just a call on telephone will be enough for them from their beloved ones to keep them happy and energetic. But our society has become very selfish and calculates too much on money. Money is very much needed in life to lead a standard life, but money is not everything. There are many things in life which money can not provide. Life is precious and short. God doesn’t require a single moment to make a millionaire to a beggar through many of his forces like flood, fire, quake, typhoon, diseases, accidents etc. Having gotten a chance to see this wonderful world through our parents is a great thing. The question of our presence on Earth never arises without them. Just for this reason we are liable to them through out our life. That is why Indian philosophy declares that “mata, pita gurur daivam” (mother, father and spiritual teacher are true representatives of God on earth). There is no other dedication a son or a daughter can do to their parents to be with them when they are in need of their mere presence. It is a blessing and benediction.
Life on Earth in human form is the first blessing. Having born with no deformity and perfect intelligence is the second blessing. Presence of God like parents to love and to take care of in the early developmental period is the third blessing. To have all material comforts is the fourth blessing. With all these opulence, if one can not understand the meaning of creator and creations, one’s life as a human being is a fiasco.

Why do we Suffer?

WHY DO WE SUFFER?
The highly industrialized countries like Japan, Germany, America, England and France etc have all ultra modern living standards, enormous personal freedom and other amenities but still the majority of people are unhappy. Every one is seeking for happiness every where, at all times. Every one is toiling for nothing but happiness. A hungry man is looking for food, a home less man is looking for a house, a job less man is seeking for a job, a man with or without a woman is looking for a woman and so on! One can not accommodate food beyond the limit of his belly’s capacity. The happiness of a sexual union will remain till the end of its climax and ecstasy only. In short the happiness we enjoy in this material mundane life is only temporary. What is there in every one at all times is unhappiness. The abundance of any material possessions, sumptuous food, royal comforts or the company of beautiful women will not give permanent happiness to any one. One must enjoy life to its fullest to come to this point of real knowledge. Anything at its peak of abundance will lead to aversion to it. Then the realized man looks around for the missing link for the reason for his sorrow. In fact, happiness is within oneself not out side. Without knowing this fact the ignorant man looks around to find pleasure in external things and places and fails. All thought waves should calm down to make it ready for the search as it needs concentration of the mind on a single point. Going to temples, reciting mantras and devotional songs, and practice of yoga will enhance the process of concentration. You are the one who make you happy or melancholy. You are responsible for your actions. Your actions are decided by your thoughts. Your thoughts are formed from the subtle part of the food you consume. What you enjoy in this life is the merits of your good actions and so are your sufferings- the merits of your abominable actions. Realizing this Vedic truth enjoy your life in a meaningful way.

Realize the Importance of Life

Realize the Importance of Life.
It is our duty to do everything possible within our limit to those who are less privileged than us while they are still alive to alleviate their pain, short comings and sufferings and not to lament later, on their loss yelling with lame excuses for not doing this and that by which the departed soul is not going to benefit in any way. Most of our post death rituals are not going to benefit the departed soul, (unless the soul has committed suicide or has been murdered) but to satisfy ourselves requesting to pardon for our negligence or misbehaviors with them when they were alive. These are to cleanse our own heart. After all, death is not the end of life but the middle portion of the unknown drama of the soul. In the fallopian tube of a woman a sperm and an ovum fuse to form the zygote, that is, when something enters the zygote only it has life. Later it undergoes various stages of life – childhood, youngster, old age and finally to death. When soul enters the body it is alive and soul’s departure is death (‘Sivam’ becomes ‘savam’). So death is only for the body not for the atman (soul) .So do everything possible to your beloved ones to make their life smooth as without their prayers you were nothing in this world. Be prayerful, alert and thankful.
“Yasthu sarvaani bhoothani
Atmanye vaanupasyathi.
Sarva bhootheshu chaathmaanam
Thatho na vijugupsathe.”

“ Isavasyopanishad”

Meaning:- He who sees every living beings in the Paramatma, and Paramatma in every living beings, such a man never contempt any one.

You are not Body but Pure Atman

You are not Body but Pure Atman:

Life is short and time is fleeting, that tomorrow will never come again. What you have in hand is today. Tomorrow this today will become yesterday. So arise, awake and with a firm will seek to find your own truth. Purify your karmas. You are sure to attain salvation if you practice diligently with a firm decision. Beauty is only skin-deep. The body is a bag of skin with nine openings. Inside that pretty bag you will find bones, blood, urine, stool, phlegm, nerves, muscles etc, which are nauseating & horrible. The real beauty exists not in body but in Atman. You are not body but pure Atman temporarily held up in the body. All relationships are just beautiful on the surface, deep down they are a sort of bondage. One is known as a Hindu, Christian or Muslim by chance or by choice. In the same way, one is identified as an Indian, Chinese or Westerner. By truth, you belong to the whole and the whole belongs to you. You are Universal, the unborn, imperishable, eternal Atman. Death is only for the body not for YOU. When Atman enters into a body it is born, and when it departs from it, we say it is no more. Aiming at the unknown invisible, we are in the journey to know the intangible, incomprehensive truth, which cannot be known by the sense organs. That is real knowledge. Unless one understands death, he will be unable to understand life. Life is never dead and it continues even after usual death in some other unknown plane for further perfection.
“Om Sahana vavathu, sahanou bhunakthu saha veeryam kara vavahai.
Thejaswina adheethamastu Maa vidhusha vahai.Om Shanti, shanty, shantihi”
Meaning:
Let us exist together, let us work together, let us share the results of our work together, let noble thoughts come from all over the world and let us not have hatred towards anyone.

“Sarve bhavanthu sukhinaha, sarve santhu niramayaha
Sarve bhadraani pasyanthu maa kaschit dukhabaagbhaveth”.

Meaning:
May all be happy, all be free from misery and all possess good things in life. Let no one suffer in this world.

The Importance of Dharmic Education

The Importance of Dharmic Education.
There are many things to learn in this universe. Some of our learning’s are useful in life and some others are useless. After studying many things, still if the essence of knowledge is unknown, then the entire process of learning is incomplete. What is the ultimate aim of life? What would make a person blissful and satiated? In spite of all opulence, why are some still unhappy and not contented? Many philosophies, religions and spiritual civilizations have come to the world from various corners of the globe. However there are not many philosophies as Indian philosophy which has clearly stated unequivocally the aim of life and how to achieve it in this human life itself in a pragmatic way. The ultimate aim of life is achieved by following strictly the principles of four important steps in life called ‘dharma’ (the right code of good living), ‘artha’ (wealth), ‘kama’(desire) and ‘moksha (salvation). They are collectively known as ‘purushartha’s. People are seen either dejected or unsatisfied because of the failure to achieve ‘purushartha’s in their life. All the first three among them make a person fit to achieve the final aim that is ‘moksha’ or salvation.
The basic educational system should emphasize on ‘dharma’- the right conduct & code of leading a principled good living. If a person doesn’t follow ‘dharma’ in his life, then what ever he has is of no real spiritual value. Education should make a person think, talk, act and behave in a civilized manner. It should give gentleness to one’s dealings with a global outlook on humanity and compassion towards fellow human beings and other living beings. Education should also make a person fit to compete with the hardships of life for leading a standard life. If a student excels at his studies but leads a very immoral life, then his entire education is a failure to mold him to a civilized person to lead a successful life. So the foundation of other three ‘purushartha’s are based on solid ‘dharma’ at the young age. An educational system which does not give importance to ‘dharmic’ values will produce intellectuals of criminal tendency who won’t hesitate to use their acquired knowledge for mass destructive purposes.
Acquiring wealth through the righteous way is the second ‘purushartha’- ‘artha. Wealth is used to possess and enjoy materials which will give temporary happiness. Some are noxiously mistaken that amassing huge wealth by any means in a short period of time will give them eternal happiness. The wealth acquired through justifiable means to enjoy and to perform one’s limited needs & duties only will give one, happiness and peace of mind.
Man’s mind is always indulged with many desires at all times. Every one is toiling every day to achieve those desires. Every living being wishes to live long and to enjoy life. No life wishes to die & perish. All his actions are aimed at attaining happiness eventually. One has to limit his desires within the self set boundaries of dharmic principles will certainly culminate into eternal happiness. Moksha or salvation is for those who have done well in the three modes of ‘purushartha’s. Many are leading their ignorant life even after formal education without knowing the basic principles to fulfill their wishes. Education should be the solution for their ignorance. It also should make a person to lead a much happier, satisfied and contented life aimed at moksha based on dharmic values.

Life is not an Accident

LIFE IS NOT AN ACCIDENT
Our life on Earth is not an accident. There is a definite purpose behind it. We are here to help others to alleviate their pain, short comings and also to help our self in realizing the Omnipresent Truth and to enjoy eternal bliss. Other than human beings no other animal can realize it because only humans are having higher consciousness, discriminative power to analyze and judge what is good and bad. You are a blessed person with no deformity and perfect intelligence so utilize the rest of your allotted time on Earth in realizing the truth about our great Creator. We all have our own imperfections. No one is perfect and infallible. Each day we try to improvise our imperfections for a better life for us and for others directly or indirectly. With your acquired knowledge and experience try to shed light on others life and keep going without even the least expectation of gratitude. Your friends of today might become your enemies of tomorrow. Your most beloved ones or the whole world might forsake you. Still you keep your integrity as such and never have any hatred for anyone in this life. Each one is unique in this world. There is no one like you in this world. The only difference between you and me is the length and weight of our skeletal frame and the arrangement of flesh on it. Otherwise there is no difference between you and me. We are not bodies but pure spirits entangled in these bodies temporarily. This body will certainly perish one day but our souls will remain the same. When we have to leave here permanently make sure that all the people whom you had met with, should have only good things to talk about you. Your name should be remembered or recollected for your goodness not for your negative tendency.

The Incredible Bharat

THE INCREDIBLE BHARAT.
India is incredible not for Taj Mahal, Ajanta caves, Sarnat & Konark or anything like world’s biggest democracy, etc, etc, but for its abundant freedom an average Indian citizen enjoys in India. One has to leave India to realize the true value of its freedom. India is the most free land on the face of the globe. One will never comprehend it unless he leaves India. Again, India is a free land because the majority of Indians are Hindus. The day the equation changes, one must infer that it is not at all free. This we have already witnessed in various parts of India like J&K, Hyderabad, Malappuram, Nagaland, some parts of UP & Tamil Nadu.
Most of the Hindus do not care for any rituals or formalities of Sanatana Dharma even though they are born to that faith, still known as Hindus. No one can excommunicate a Hindu from his born faith or caste even if he does not follow any of its rituals. There is no other religion on earth, which gives unlimited freedom for an individual to grow up like in Sanatana Dharma. The day one accepts other dharma and sees the difference in his life. The other societies keep a remote control on the freedom and day today religious activities of its members, and if any one rebels with, he will be either exterminated from this world or excommunicated from that clan. So at any cost, we will have to defend our precious jewel- our freedom. There comes the importance of defending and preserving our great heritage of Sanatana Dharma.
The second important point is that the death of Sanatana Dharma will be the death of various art forms as well from the globe. Arts like Bharata natyam, Kuchuppudi,Manipuri,Odissi, Mohiniyattam, Kathakali, Theyyam, Thira, Classical music, mural painting, yoga, sculpturing, jothisha, vasthu shashtra, various metal & wood works connected with temples and martial art like Kalari payattu , etc have emerged , taught and learnt basically as a part of Hindu spirituality. Therefore, I stand to defend Sanatana Dharma not for winning an election to be in power but for all the above-mentioned reasons. We got freedom because of the dedication of many great Indians after a long struggle. The original defenders of India’s free air are intrinsically Hindus. Freedom is the inevitable part of our great Rishi lineage. Others are interested only in increasing their numbers. As long as they are numerically minority in number, they will be somewhat secular and the moment they become majority they will show their true color.
Our country has given us name, fame, honor, education, wealth etc, etc and it is our duty to reciprocate. Being realized with many facts, it is our responsibility to awaken the slumbering young generation. It is my luck to be born in India to enjoy its free air. My vision is a self-reliable, scientifically far advanced modern India where every living being is respected with reverence. My great Bharat is the one and only land on Earth where the great souls realize the divinity of the unknown power in every living being and greet “Suprabhatham” or “Namaskar” with respect even to a plant and an ant.

The Absurdity of Life

The Absurdity of Life.

Death is the one and only inevitable certainty in life. Accidents and diseases are sheer causes that eventually lead to this reality. Every one is well aware of this truth, but some are living as if they will never die, and some others are dying on the death bed as if they haven’t lived yet! It is because of the goodness of one’s own previous actions that one is lucky to be born on this wonderful Earth in human form. Among them, one must be extremely lucky to be without any deformity, intelligence, with loving & caring parents to look after and with other paraphernalia of material comforts. Still man keeps on lamenting on his shortcomings and unnecessarily blame on others for petty things. This human life is a very rare chance to live peacefully with all other creatures and to know the intelligence behind these amazing creations. It is a mixture of both happiness and sorrow which are only transient phenomena. Peace and happiness depends on making others happy and peaceful or at least not hurting others feelings. The base of a peaceful mind lies in its purity and good actions. To realize the truth that nothing in this world is eternal and to relinquish step by step from all wishes and bonds, one must make his mind ready for the final journey of no return. The life boat on its journey, makes some one to laugh and some others to cry, finally crumbles by hitting at the walls of death and vanishes into the memories of time.
So let us pray together;
“Asathoma Sat Gamaya
Thamasoma Jyothir Gamaya
Mrityoma Amritham Gamaya.
Aum Saanthi, Saanthi, Saanthihi.”

Brihdaranyakopanishad.

Meaning:-
Oh God, Lead us from untruth to Truth,
From darkness to Light
From death to Immortality.
Let Peace be every where and for every one.

The Concept of Freedom

THE CONCEPT OF FREEDOM.
Man is born with absolute freedom but as he grows he is shackled in various clutches in the name of rituals, religion, state and politics. The society, religion and politician need only stupid people. They like only obsequious persons who never question or doubt the existence of their irrelevant rigid dogmas and convictions. All the vested interests need the masses to remain stupid to exploit their opportunity of stupidity for meeting their selfish goals. They are sure that education will open their inner eye of ignorance which will eventually liberate them from their clutches. Rich culture, art forms, literature, music, dance, sculpture and painting will emerge from a land where the individual mind is set free. Freedom is a subtle feeling of total fearlessness. The eyes of little babies will sparkle with rays of innocence. They don’t know what fear is. They will express the natural feelings in any situation. Even if a poisonous snake comes to it, it will smile and start playing with it. Normally no snake will bite small babies. A fearless man’s mind is crystal clear from all impurities. One has to purify one’s action, words and thoughts with goodness to be in absolute freedom like a little baby of innocence. The state of freedom automatically comes to a mind when it tries to purify all actions consciously. What you speak and act is decided by your thoughts. And the thoughts are formed from the subtle part of the food what you take in. If one hurts the feeling of any living being, he can not be in happiness, peace and freedom. Because these three are inter dependent.
There are only two classes of people on Earth. One “who has” and the other one “who has not”. That is, one who has money, power, property, knowledge, influence, beauty, efficiency etc; and the other one who lack all these. Human history is the long record of the class struggle between these two opponents ever since he was born on Earth. In the Stone Age he used to fight with spears, swords, bow & arrow for both woman and land which have been replaced with modern weapons like nuclear bombs, missiles, rockets etc. The only difference is in the change of fighting weapons. Man is the same old ape like animal born among other animals in the deep forest with strong dormant animal instincts. Then came various philosophers, philosophies and prophets to civilize him. Still he is the only animal killing its own clan not for the purpose of food. We proclaim that we have been civilized with ultra modern cutting edge science & technology, industrial and IT revolution, and advance in space technology. But when he gets the right opportunity, the so called civilized tamed beast sleeping in him will arise and show its true animal nature. The advance in technology has increased the efficiency and power of individual human being and country to commit effective violence. Your freedom ends where my freedom begins. That is why an attacked dog barks at the attacker when it reaches its own home.
